Computer Case Rolling Base
If you are using your computer case on the floor and need to clean your space, this rolling base makes it much easier to move your computer case around. It is designed to fit computer cases with the ATX form factor; however, it can be modified to fit larger or smaller cases.

The build, step by step
Cut the board
For this project, I used a sheet of MDF leftover from an old TV table. The TV tabletop was a trapezoid. I was able to cut a 24"x11" rectangle out of it, which worked perfectly for my application. Make sure you measure your computer case first, and add some room on the sides and each end.
Since the casters are screwed into the board, I prefer to use a board that is 3/4" or thicker. The MDF was 1" thick, which was perfect. You can use a 1/2" thick board for this project, but some bending may be visible when you place an ATX computer case or larger on it. Make sure you use shorter insert nuts and screws if you end up using a thinner board.
Prime/Seal, Paint, Satin (optional)
Make sure you prime the board before painting it. You can also stain the board if you desire a more natural look. For the MDF board, I used the Zinsser BIN Shellac-Based Ultimate Performance Primer Sealer before applying the topcoat.
